Bargaining Update Meeting and Strike Vote
As the Educational Assistants and Outdoor Education Instructors Bargaining Team did not receive a positive response to the final offer we will be holding a meeting on Sunday, March 28th at 10:00 a.m. sharp.
Taking job action to defend this Collective Agreement will be a last resort; nevertheless, we are preparing for next steps. The first step will be requesting a “No Board Report” and mediation. This would mean an approximately 17-day countdown to a strike or lockout from the date the Ministry issues the “No Board Report”.
We will also take a strike vote among the members of this unit and let parents, Trustees and the media know about possible job action and the reasons why.
