Notice – Members in Good Standing Form

Good Afternoon,

Due to the move to electronic voting for the upcoming election we will be following Nationals process to be in compliance with the Constitution.

“The CUPE constitution allows for only Members in Good standing to vote during an election process. This normally is not an issue as voting is done in person.

With the change to electronic voting for this election the Local has to establish an electronic database for sworn in members.

You will be receiving an electronic form to your CUPE email address. If you have your email forwarded to a personal email you will need to use your CUPE email to respond. Once your form has been submitted and verified you will receive a link to vote in the election. Your vote is confidential.

To access your CUPE email go to cupe218.ca and click on Member Mail. If you have forgotten your password contact support@cupe218.ca.

Only members who complete and submit this form, before November 3, 2020, from your “first name.last name @cupe218.ca” email address will be permitted to vote. (Even if you are previously sworn in you must complete this form in order to vote)

These forms will only be available from your CUPE email so please don’t delay in getting an active CUPE email address and password as this is time sensitive.”

Voting will take place on November 21, 2020 between 9 am and 3 pm

Everyone in good standing (filled in the membership form) can vote for the President & Trustee but only SCT members will have the ballot to choose 3 of the 4 candidates for the SCT committee.
