Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is keeping well and dealing with the stresses associated with this Pandemic and as Education workers venturing into uncharted waters.
I have just finished speaking with Jaime Sheepwash on what the current landscape looks like for our members from a very high level.
EA Unit.
Lori and Marion have been working with Andre to explore what EA supports would look like for the special student needs and working remotely. This will continue to evolve in the coming days and weeks.
OCT Unit.
Principals will be reaching out to Secretaries to discuss working remotely and ensuring that they have everything they require to do so. The IT department has been and will continue to work.
CM Unit.
Security checks will start to be done by Chief Custodians or designate. Scheduling for this is being worked out by FS.
Looking at the possibility of starting summer cleanup early ensuring distancing requirements and proper PPE are in place.
HR is meeting with managers tomorrow and hope to have more information in the coming days.
Con Ed Unit.
The Board is in conversation with the Province determining if this group lands under the teachers umberela and expectations.
I will be in constant contact with the Board and as soon as any new information comes to me I will get it out to you asap.
