Hello everyone,
As we continue to work through this time, I want to thank the staff that
were in schools this week, supporting school and IT staff preparing
technology for students and distance learning.
To provide the building security and property management required for
our buildings, custodial staff will be completing daily site checks,
starting Thursday April 9th.
* Checks will occur between 9am and 11am at all schools
* Safety footwear, uniforms and ID tags required to be worn at all
times
* One person per elementary, DASS, EA Lovell / two people per
secondary
* Rotational basis, one week at a time
* During the checks, the following will be completed daily:
* Exterior check of building, ensuring all doors locked
* Interior check of entire school including mechanical rooms, ensuring
no issues or concerns within each room
* Monitor emails, messages
* Submit Work Order for any issues found during check
* Pick-up outside garbage
The site checks will start this week, with the staff that are already
working in schools. The check will occur on Thursday only, as Friday is
a designated holiday (Good Friday).
Next week, site checks will start on Tuesday, as Monday is Easter
Monday.
The Custodial Supervisors will be creating the rotational lists. At
this time, only the people working next week will be contacted by a
Supervisor today. The remaining coverage will be arranged next week and
information will be provided at that time.
High Dusting and Carpet Crew staff be utilized at elementary schools
where there is only one or two custodial staff. They will be contacted
directly by a Custodial Supervisor and assigned a school.
