DDSB Custodial Maintenance updates

A few recent DDSB updates, based on government approvals Maintenance/construction projects will be starting up again for school sites. The initial plan is as follows:

* All contractors will be required to follow the health and safety protocols provided by the government.
* Construction supervisors will coordinate with contractors then share with custodial supervisor they share with custodial site teams.
* Custodial hours will not change at this time
* A designated washroom will be determined if internal work taking place to reduce cleaning areas
* Custodians will clean washrooms and touch points area’s occupied, along with other cleaning as required, frequency to be determined The Beaverton childcare has been designated as a required site due to needs in the area not supported by other government run sites. We will need to discuss this at some point but we are waiting for more information and details to create a plan. You can start thinking about and sending any question you may have so we can get you answers prior to use.
A few items below

* Custodians to be scheduled in the school for the duration of operational hours plus time after to clean (could be several staff per day)
* Custodians to clean the room as per normal with the addition of touch points after each use
* Daycare staff will take care of the cleaning needs during occupancy hours, custodial may be called for emergencies
Thanks!
